The Right Bike for Every Rider
At Ride and Seek, we understand how much the right bike matters, particularly during long days in the saddle and multi-week journeys. You are always welcome to bring your own bike, but when that isn’t practical, we offer a carefully selected range of road, flat-bar and e-road rental bikes chosen for comfort, reliability and the demands of each destination.
We have our own fleets based in Europe and Japan, while in Colombia and other destinations we work with trusted local partners to source bikes of a similarly high standard. Wherever you ride with us, we’ll help you choose the most suitable option and set it up as closely as possible to the bike you ride at home.

What’s Included With Your Rental
Every rental includes a professionally serviced bike, flat pedals, a standard saddle, bike setup based on the measurements you provide and on-tour mechanical support. If you prefer to use your own pedals or saddle, bring them with you, and we’ll fit them to your rental bike for an instant familiar feel.
Brake orientation varies between destinations. The setup for each region is noted below.
EUROPEAN BIKE TOURS
For our European tours, we recommend the titanium bikes from our fleet based in Provence, France. Our brand of choice is Van Nicholas, whose titanium frames and electronic shifting offer an ideal combination of comfort, reliability and performance for long days in the saddle.
We can also arrange other brands and models through our trusted suppliers and partners. These generally carry a premium because the bikes need to be hired externally.
Our European e-bike fleet is provided by Merida and features a super-quiet rear-hub motor system. We offer both road and flat-bar e-bikes.
Brake setup in Europe: The left lever operates the front brake and the right lever operates the rear brake. Same as in North America.
Road Bike: Van Nicholas – Skeiron

JAPAN BIKE TOURS
For our Japan tours, we recommend the carbon bikes from our fleets in Hokkaido and Osaka. Our brand of choice is Merida, whose relaxed geometry provides an ideal combination of comfort and performance for long days in the saddle.
Our Japanese fleet is smaller than our European fleet, so when we cannot fulfil a request directly, we work with trusted local partners. We select carbon or modern lightweight aluminium bikes with disc brakes, relaxed geometry and wide-range gearing suited to Japan’s varied terrain.
Our Japan e-bike fleet is provided by Specialized, with both drop-bar and flat-bar options available.
Brake setup in Japan: The right lever operates the front brake and the left lever operates the rear brake. Same set-up as the UK & Australia/NZ.

COLOMBIA BIKE TOURS
For our Colombia tours, we work with an experienced local operator to provide premium road and e-road bikes suited to the country’s demanding climbs and varied terrain.
Our road bike is the beautifully engineered TIME Alpe d’Huez X 2026, while riders seeking electric assistance can choose an Argon 18 e-road bike powered by the super-quiet Mahle rear-hub system.

REST OF WORLD BIKE TOURS
For tours outside Europe, Japan and Colombia, we work with trusted local suppliers to source the best available bike for each destination.
Where possible, we select bikes that offer similar comfort and performance to our own fleets, typically with carbon or modern lightweight aluminium frames, disc brakes, relaxed geometry and gearing suited to the terrain. We take the same approach when sourcing e-bikes.
Pricing generally follows our European rental structure, although rates can vary depending on the destination and availability. Brake orientation may also vary and will be confirmed before the first ride.
BIKE FITTING
To help us prepare a comfortable and familiar riding position, we’ll ask for your height and the make, model and size of the bike you ride at home.
We’ll also request two measurements from your current bike: your saddle height (A), measured from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle, and your cockpit reach (B), measured from the tip of the saddle to the handlebars.
We use these measurements to select the most suitable frame size and reproduce your usual riding position as closely as possible. Our team will then make any final adjustments with you at the beginning of the tour.
