First cycling memory

When I was seven my father bought me a red Schwinn banana seat bike, with cowboys and lassos printed on the saddle. Once I rode it to the blackberry patches near our home, thinking that was incredibly far.

Favourite bike

I have a super lightweight Cannondale Evo, but I'm partial to my older Look, heavier but smooth as butter, one of the last to be handcrafted in France.

Top climb

I love the Stelvio and Dolomites passes, but Aubisque, with the Belgian horses at the top, the wind flying through their manes, rather embodies how I feel about cycling.

Bike Vietnam.

A special skill you bring on tour

Bit of experience with the wines and cheeses of Italy, have made mozzarella on numerous occasions.

Favourite Ride & Seek tour gastronomic experience

Anything served at Fleurs d'Olargues (on Hannibal): handmade butter, cream, jams, bread, herbs, salad greens - exquisite, preferably served with Pinot Noirs of north Italy and the Penedés whites from just outside Barcelona.
