First cycling memory

I can still remember learning how to ride a bike around a local park and finally getting the hang of peddling in a straight line.

Liv Devote 2. Comfiest seat in the world and trusty all rounder.

Top climb

My first ride up Mont Ventoux and also Mt Fuji. I found an old gravel path, off the beaten track that lead me all the way to the top without the big crowds. Pretty special to have the whole climb all to myself then zip down the mountains amongst the masses.

One thing on your bucket list

To ride around South America.

A special skill you bring on tour

I'm pretty savvy with flora and fauna, have a good understanding of the environmental impact of tours (that we're working to reduce wherever possible) and good at being a cheerleader to help motivation along when when things get steep or challenging.

Fresh cherries on the side of the road in Czechia, and the incredible spreads in Japan.
